Below we have another guest blog. This one comes from our friend Mikey Crichton from Creative Isolation Lofts and was originally posted in a mutual Facebook group. It was written around New Year’s 2020 and he reflects on 10 important concepts he learned in the past decade. Though a year old now the information is still highly reflective and relevant.
A term you see used frequently this time of year is “gratitude.” Gratitude is important to those in recovery for various reasons. However, people on a recovery journey are not the only ones who can derive benefits from understanding and practicing gratitude. Learning to practice gratitude yields positive outcomes for our mental health and helps us find a deeper connection with our spiritual wellbeing.
On social media we recently made a post about how each person’s recovery journey is unique. This got me thinking more about how we define recovery and what it means.
